Room: SHAMBHALA LOS ANGELES - ONLINE MEETING

A Presentation of Shambhala’s new Code of Conduct

Facilitators for the conversation: Nina Migliari, Dorje Kasung Liaison for Shambhala Global Services, & Jim Fladmark, Process Team Leadership and Code of Conduct Support Group.

In this presentation, we will walk through the Code of Conduct Hub website and how to navigate it, as well as present a general introduction to the Code of Conduct policies. We will highlight the most important parts of each policy.

This presentation also includes a Q&A session at the end of the presentation; participants are welcome to send their questions in advance to Nina at [email protected]

After the Q&A session, we will take some time to sign The Oath of Commitment (see attached), which can be found in the Policy on the Conduct of People Holding Positions of Authority.

Participants are also encouraged to contemplate the "2 Page Document", The Code of Conduct—The 17 Practices of Good Conduct and the 8 Points of Protecting the Space for Everyone (click here for translations) before the event, as we will take a few minutes of the call to read them together, and comment.

There will be a follow-up call [to be scheduled] to talk about the Code of Conduct Resolution Process, which includes the procedures that follow the policies.

The session will be recorded for those who are unable to attend it.

The presentation will be in English; If you would like to have it translated, please write to Nina.

The Shambhala Center of Los Angeles remains open because of the ongoing generosity of our community. One of the cornerstones of our policy is that no one be turned away for lack of funds. If you can’t afford a program, please call our office (323-255-5472) to register based on what you can afford. At the same time, the Center relies on program revenue to cover costs. For those who are able to pay more than the program price, your generosity in paying the Patron Price helps cover the costs for others who are not able to pay the full price, and provides additional support to the Shambhala Center of Los Angeles. Thank you for your kindness!

If you cancel more than 7 days prior to your class (and have already paid), you will receive a full refund less a processing fee of $15. If you cancel between 1 to 7 days prior to arrival, we will credit your payment towards another program at Shambhala Los Angeles to be used within 1 year. No refunds or credits are issued for cancellations received fewer than 24 hours prior to arrival.
