Three Meditation Centers offer a variety of groups open to all

Crativity lab Meditation Group Ikebana Class

Weekly & Monthly Meditation Groups:

  • Young Meditators Group: A group for anyone in their 20s and 30s who is interested in learning and experiencing the benefits of meditation and socializing other like-minded individuals. We meet at two locations! Westside Center in Mar Vista 2nd & 4th MONDAYS, 7:30 – 9pm and at the Eagle Rock Center, 1st and 3rd FRIDAYS (7:45 – 9pm) Not Currently Meeting
  • Yoga & MeditationMondays (Eagle Rock) Tuesdays (Westside/Mar Vista); 7:30pm – 9pm. Not Currently Meeting
  • People of Color Meditation Group: Meditators of color practice together in an open and supportive community. Tuesdays (Eagle Rock), Second and Fourth Tuesdays, 7:30-9pm Not Currently Meeting
  • Creativity Lab: Group meetings alternates between Centers. Second Saturday each month at Westside Center; (11am – 1pm). See monthly calendar for what type of class is offered and exact dates and times. Most programs offered online as of March 2020
  • Family & Children Groups: Present Parenting, Tiger Cubs (3-8 yrs), and Dragon’s group (9-12 yrs): Only open per Semester! Registration only open in early Fall. Third Sunday each month at Eagle Rock Center;(1pm – 2:30pm) 
  • The Healing Circle: First Saturday of each month, 10:30am – 12 pm, Online
  • Dorje Kasung Member Group
  • Queer Pride Meditation Group: Third Saturday of the month, 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm, Eagle Rock Not Currently Meeting
  • The Los Angeles Shambhala White Awake Study Group 1st & 3rd Sundays of the month, Online
    Two study groups for anyone who identifies as white who wants to learn more about the realities of racism and the unintended impacts of white privilege so that they can consciously contribute to racial justice rather than unconsciously perpetuate patterns of racism.
  • The Shambhala Women’s Group of Orange County: Third Saturday of the month, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Orange County, provides a safe place where sangha members, who identify as female, can share experiences and express their feelings in a safe, supportive and confidential environment. Open Sitting Group Practice – Learn to Meditate

  • Weekly Dharma Gathering – Dharma Talk & Meditation: Wednesdays (Westside/Mar Vista) & Thursdays (Eagle Rock); (7.30pm – 9pm): Listen to a dharma talk by Shambhala teachers. Free meditation instruction for those who wish. This evening gathering is open to all, for beginners to meditation and Shambhala teachings as well as seasoned meditators in other meditation traditions. Not Currently Meeting
  • Open Meditation Sitting:  Join us for meditation group sitting several days per week. Meditation instruction available for those who wish. No reservations nor prior experience necessary to attend. View schedule


All are welcome — newcomers as well as seasoned meditators. Meditation instruction available earlier in the session during Open Meditation Sitting and guided meditation is provided during Weekly Dharma Gatherings. By $10-15 donation.
