(Eagle Rock) Mind Training: LOJONG

Through mindfulness-awareness practice we can tame our minds, relax, and experience greater gentleness toward ourselves and trust in our minds. With that, we develop more appreciation of and friendliness toward others.
As trust in our mind increases, we can apply certain advanced teachings and practices to work with others with even more intelligence, compassion, confidence, and skill.
This four week course focuses on learning to see more clearly and to relate more skillfully, for the benefit of everyone involved, to whatever we encounter “off the cushion,” as well as to whatever we experience during our sitting practice.
This training is based on teachings and practices developed over a 300-year period and passed down for nearly a thousand years. Although it is more beneficial to those who already practice mindfulness-awareness, beginners are welcome and basic meditation instruction will be provided.
