Working with Emotions
with Laura Landau & George Gomez
Exploring a mindful approach for transforming our relationship with emotions.
Emotions are a natural part of life, but they can often feel overwhelming and challenging to manage. The energy of emotions can take over quickly, resulting in actions that cause harm to both ourselves and others. The result can spiral into an endless cycle, making life difficult and painful. In this four-week series, we'll explore how to work with emotions skillfully, using meditation and contemplative practices drawn from traditional Buddhist and Shambhala teachings that can lead us to a healthier relationship with our emotions.
In this series, you will:
- Develop a deeper understanding of emotions as fluid energy, rather than solid, fixed entities.
- Learn practical tools for navigating challenging emotions like anger, fear, and sadness.
- Discover how meditation can help you create space around your emotions, allowing you to respond with wisdom and compassion.
- Cultivate a more balanced and joyful experience of life.
This series is perfect for those who:
- Are new to meditation and want to learn a powerful tool for emotional well-being.
- Have an existing meditation practice and wish to deepen their understanding.
- Are interested in exploring the intersection of Buddhist teachings and emotional intelligence.
