We often approach our lives with the idea that joy comes from the fulfillment of our personal desires. Through an exploration of the Buddhist teachings on the Bodhisattva's intelligent compassion towards others, we begin to discover the confidence and inspiration for a life of cheerful discipline, health and bravery.

Walking the Bodhisattva Path: Finding Joy in Everyday Life explores the meaning of joy and the true source of personal energy and inspiration. This 4-week course introduces the experience of awakening our heart and extending loving-kindness to others as a means to continuous personal inspiration. This joyfulness provides the ground we need to go forward on our journey with a genuine, sustainable enjoyment of ourselves, others, and the world around us.

The class includes meditation instruction, talks, periods of meditation practice, discussion, and a variety of contemplative practice activities. This course serves as a companion to the Shambhala Training Weekend III retreat and is open to all.

Please note that the first class on June 15 will be from 10a-1p; all subsequent classes will be from 10a-12p. There will be no class on July 6.

The Shambhala Center of Los Angeles remains open because of the ongoing generosity of our community. One of the cornerstones of our policy is that no one be turned away for lack of funds. If you can’t afford a program, please call our office (323-255-5472) to register based on what you can afford. At the same time, the Center relies on program revenue to cover costs. For those who are able to pay more than the program price, your generosity in paying the Patron Price helps cover the costs for others who are not able to pay the full price, and provides additional support to the Shambhala Center of Los Angeles. Thank you for your kindness!

If you cancel more than 7 days prior to your class (and have already paid), you will receive a full refund less a processing fee of $15. If you cancel between 1 to 7 days prior to arrival, we will credit your payment towards another program at Shambhala Los Angeles to be used within 1 year. No refunds or credits are issued for cancellations received fewer than 24 hours prior to arrival.
