Mar Vista Meditation Center

A great place to learn to meditate and a very warm and friendly Community.  I have been coming to the Westside Shambhala in Mar Vista when it first opened and have steadily become more active as it has grown.Very thankful for this Community and space and invite everyone to come down and join us. Beginners are welcome!

Meditation and Community in Mar Vista

Join us for Open Meditation Sitting to Learn Meditation in Everyday Life

Meditation is a way to make the mind more stable and clear. From this point of view, meditation is not purely a Buddhist practice; it’s a practice that anyone can do. It doesn’t tie in with a particular spiritual tradition. If we want to undo confusion, we’re going to have to be responsible for learning what our own mind is and how it works, no matter what beliefs we hold.

These meditation meetings are an excellent introduction to meditation.
