 SNEAK PREVIEW – Fundraiser for CRAZY WISDOMwith Johanna Demetrakas November 21st: 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM Price: $FREE! General Public Johanna Demetrakas will screen her film, CRAZY WISDOM, for the Los Angeles Shambhala sangha and general public. After about 8 years of research and 3 years of intense filmmaking in Tibet, Scotland, England, Canada and the U.S., CRAZY WISDOM is in the final stages of editing! We have applied to Sundance and we are looking to finish the film by the end of the year. Aside from wonderful footage of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, the film includes never before viewed scenes from the first summer of Naropa University, interviews with Pema Chödrön, the Sakyong Jamgon Mipham, Rinpoche, Ram Dass, Lady Diana Mukpo, Robert Thurman, Allen Ginsberg and others, as well as the powerful experience of Trungpa Rinpoche’s cremation at Karmê Chöling in Vermont in 1987. There will be nibbles, Q and A with the filmmaker and no charge at the door. We hope you’ll be as inspired as we’ve been making this film, and contribute to finishing the work and getting the film out into the world. |
