Pema Chödrön on Oprah
For more than three decades, Pema Chödrön has been teaching and writing about Buddhist principles as a Tibetan Buddhist nun. One of the basic Buddhist tenets, she says, is that change is constant. “Things are going to keep changing,” she says. “And if you’re invested in security and certainty, then … you’re not going to feel good a lot of the time.” Find out why Pema says we should all approach change as if we were rivers, not rocks.

Pema Chödrön is a senior teacher in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage. A student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, she is an ordained nun, author, and acharya (senior teacher), and teaches both nationally and internationally.

If you’d like to learn more meditation and Shambhala please visit our free Weekly Dharma Gathering on Thursdays, 7.30 – 9pm at our Eagle Rock Center.
On December 18th, 2014 the Weekly Dharma Gathering in Eagle Rock will feature a Pema Chödrön video. There will be a short guided meditation, a video teaching, and a discussion period. Beginners are encouraged to attend.
