Good nourishment! In honor of Pema Chodron’s birthday, during the month of July we are delighted to invite you to a feast of video talks given by Ani Pema to celebrate this beloved teacher of our lineage. Each of these evenings will feature a short guided meditation, viewing of a video talk, with time for discussion afterwards. Beginners as well as those with an established practice are welcome to attend.
Pema Chödrön is a Buddhist nun and Acharya or “Senior Teacher” in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage. She is widely known for her down-to-earth interpretation of Tibetan Buddhism for Western audiences.
Ani Pema is the resident teacher at Gampo Abbey in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, which is the first Tibetan monastery for Westerners. She is the author of numerous books, including: The Wisdom of No Escape, Start Where You Are, When Things Fall Apart, The Places that Scare You, No Time to Lose, How to Meditate, and Practicing Peace in Times of War.
Every so often, we encounter a month with five Thursday evenings. We will use those extra evenings to offer talks on topics which are relevant to both beginners and experienced practioners. All are welcome!
